A little bit about me

Hi everyone, I'm Em. A few years ago I decided to embark on my journey to become a Pilates Instructor. At first it was more of a hobby, a way to force myself into doing more exercise and to learn something new. What I discovered is a whole new way of life.

Exercise is one of the main ways for me to keep my mind healthy as well as my body. For most of my adult life I have suffered with mental health issues, mainly in the form of anxiety but it manifests itself with physical symptoms too in the form of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Over the years I have tried many ways to keep my anxiety and IBS at bay; from cognitive behavioural therapy to strict diets. Whilst some of these have worked for a period of time, they have not been sustainable and somehow the anxiety always manages to creep back in and the IBS flares up.

Through learning to be a Pilates Instructor, I now have better knowledge of how the body works and how a consistent healthy lifestyle can really give you balance that supports all-round wellbeing. Now I know what you are thinking, "we've heard this all before", and I had too, but unfortunately consistency is the key! There isn't one single thing that is going to help you be happier and healthier, it is all within your own control to find the balance that works for you and stick with it. Be kind to your body and mind, find an exercise and diet regime that you enjoy.

Having found Pilates to be so beneficial to me, I now want to support you in finding that balance in your life. You can book a 1-2-1 session by fill out the contact form below or follow my instagram, where you will find new hints and tips on how to make Pilates a part of your daily routine.
